What is the CLO Exchange Canada?

As the Program Director in charge of the CLO Exchange Canada, I'm researching each and every day with Heads of Learning & Organizational Development across Canada. One question I'm often asked is, “Can you tell me a little bit about the Exchange?” Our format is much different than any industry event you've been to in the past and, as past attendees have testified, it's a welcome departure from the monotony of a typical conference or symposium.

For those unfamiliar, the CLO Exchange Canada is an intimate, concrete-tools and solutions-based event with attendees capped at 40 Heads of Learning from FP500 Companies. Our Exchanges provide the opportunity to benchmark with peers on the same VP and C-Suite level, learn from each-other, and get reinvigorated - ready to hit the ground running upon their return to the office. It provides the opportunity to get out of your “bubble” and interact with individuals from different companies and regions, while gaining fresh insight and perspectives.

By design, the event is of a size where it is truly possible to network with each peer you find intriguing, creating bonds and a close-knit group that many wouldn’t believe possible in only 3 days. Long lasting relationships have been formed at our Exchanges and some amazing partnerships have grown out of the interactions that take place onsite. While time out of the office can often be seen as a negative, the deep conversations and profound networking that grows out of this program is impossible to replicate in the digital space, and it is worth every minute as the creativity it breeds is unparalleled.
