Dr. Claudette Knight is currently the Vice President of CIBC Talent Development Human Resources and holds a doctorate in leadership. She also serves as Executive Sponsor of the CIBC Black Employees Network.

Claudette has over 20 years of experience in Financial Services and is recognized as a collaborative HR leader who delivers measurable results aligned to business strategy, and optimizes employee capability and engagement. She is also a quantitative researcher and has published in the field of gender and leadership.

In addition, Claudette has been actively involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Toronto for over 15 years, and currently serves as HR Advisor to the Executive Team.

The pace and volume of change in business has created a steady, and often accelerated, demand for high impact learning solutions in most organizations. There is no shortage of information and advice on what needs to be done to create best in class learning experiences for employees. What is not as frequently discussed is how you can get there with your organization. This session will chronicle the transformational journey underway at CIBC to create the learning environment that will enable our employees to be confident and capable in their current and future roles. With a focus on the approach taken to date, as well as challenges and successes, the session will be illustrative not prescriptive. It seeks to serve as an anchor for debate and idea-sharing amongst conference participants who are likely embarking on or have recently completed a similar transformation.
