Over his 26 years as a member of the Aviva family, Anthony has undertaken a number of roles within the HR Function. Anthony is a subject matter expert in Employee Relations and Employment Policy and has extensive experience in both Unionised and Non-unionised working environments. Anthony established a fully elected employee consultative forum bringing together union and non-union representatives and negotiated a new agreement with the European Works Council. Anthony works collaboratively with his global colleagues on policy implementation, including Equal Parental Leave and a Global Sickness Policy. Most recently Anthony has introduced new policies dealing with Smart Working and Domestic Abuse. Anthony has a passion for diversity and inclusion being a member of the Aviva Pride network as well as working with nationally recognised LGBT+ foundations. Anthony is keen to promote how the philosophy of policy development and corporate values can drive cultural change, greater employee engagement and wellbeing along with improved customer experience. In March 2022, Anthony was elected to the Court of Common Council for the City of London Corporation. Anthony is a Freeman of the City of London, a Liveryman of the Company of Glaziers and is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

o  To what extent do you need to have people back in the office for the wellbeing of the business and the employees?

  • Using data to measure the effectiveness of different initiatives and how they impact engagement
  • Developing mechanisms for equal opportunities to develop and rise in the organization regardless of working patterns or location
