Ongmu Gombu

Based in Singapore, Ongmu Gombu is currently VP and HR Operations Lead – Asia at GSK. In this role, she focuses on regional HR effectiveness and leads the HR teams in the region. She also helps in delivering GSK’s business strategy and priorities for all of GSKs businesses in the region. Prior to this role, she was HR business leader for GSK consumer health care business for the Indian sub-continent region.

She joined GSK in 2015 from Baxter Healthcare where she held the position of HR Director, Emerging Asia (South East Asia, India, Korea. Prior to Baxter she held various roles across HR in Duracell, Gillette and P&G.  She has over 20 years of diverse and quality experience in HR business partnering in world class organizations across manufacturing and commercial operations.  She also has rich international experience of global HR practices and the ability to build strategic partnerships to lead and implement human resource initiatives across different cultures and geographies. Along with roles as an HR business leader in various countries, she also led total rewards for the region and established and implemented C&B shared services across multiple regions.

She has lived and worked in India, US and Dubai.
