Julie is a recognised international expert in workforce planning. Earlier in her career, Julie worked in the Australian Government sector at the United Nations, Centre for Social Development and Humanitarian Affairs, and at the International Atomic Energy Agency both in Vienna, Austria. In recognition of her contribution to the field of workforce planning and management, Julie was honoured with an Order of Australia Medal (2018) and the Standards Australia Meritorious Contribution Award - International (2017) for exceptional achievements of an expert in international standardization. She is a Fellow of the Australian Human Resources Institute (FAHRI). She was recognised in the 2008 / 2015 South Australian Government Women's Honour Roll which pays tribute to South Australian women who have made significant impact on the community, women who are role models and leaders. Julie is the author of two books on workforce planning 'An Introduction to Workforce Planning – are you ready for crunch time (2008) and 'The Workforce Planning Imperative' (2010) and wrote Chapter 3: Workforce Planning in the book ‘Human Capital Management Standards – A Complete Guide’ (Wong, Anderson, Bond UK 2019).
