
Sekou Bermiss
Sekou Bermiss is an Associate Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Dr. Bermiss conducts research in the area of strategic human capital management, where he explores the micro-foundations of competitive advantage by studying how a firm’s ability to compete is driven by their strategies to acquire, develop, and retain human capital. He was a Fellow at the Filene Research Institute, where he led the "War for Talent" Center of Excellence. His award-winning research has been published in numerous academic journals and highlighted by Harvard Business Review, the Wall Street Journal, and National Public Radio. Before entering academia, Dr. Bermiss worked for Deloitte Consulting in New York City.
