In the wake of extreme economic uncertainty and the unpredictable events unfolding around us, it can be even more difficult to map out a strategy that will optimize the likelihood of hiring and retaining people who are not just right for the job now, but for the future. 

In this research conducted by SNHU, workers affected by COVID-19 in the workplace share their perspectives for career, future of work and long-term goals.

Surprisingly, 72% of respondents would like to change industries, and that may present a unique opportunity for HR Professionals to widen its pool of candidates. Additionally, 73% of them indicate that they'll need to acquire new skills to make a change.
